Thor Ice Chilling Solutions, supplier of unique cooling solutions for food processing, is pleased to announce that it received a marketing grant from the Technology Development Fund at Rannís – Icelandic Centre for Research in its grant allocation this Spring.

Rannís supports research and innovation in Iceland, managing international cooperation programs and supporting national funds in the field of research and innovation. Rannís monitors resources and performance in R&D and promotes public awareness of research and innovation, education and culture in Iceland.

The Icelandic Technology Development Fund is competitive, with calls for proposals being issued twice a year. This Spring, the fund received 459 applications for grants in five different categories, with an overall success rate of 16%.

The grant will be used to strengthen sales and marketing of the company’s patented IceGun® cooling solution in the poultry industry.
