Nefco – Nordic Environment Finance Corporation has published a case feature on Thor Ice Chilling Solutions, including an interview with CEO Thorsteinn I. Viglundsson and a video demonstrating the technology. 

Nefco has provided valuable support in globally scaling the company’s cooling technology. With grant financing from Nopef – The Nordic Project Fund, Thor Ice successfully entered the Russian market and established a subsidiary in 2018. Last year, the company received Nefco loan financing to globally scale its solution.

Nefco selectively finances projects that relate to climate actions and sustainability. Their financial support is great recognition of Thor Ice’s environmental values and potential in transforming cooling methods for reducing food waste and creating a more sustainable food system.
