The high-tech company Thor Ice Chilling Solutions is looking to hire a dynamic mechanical designer to join its team in development, production, and installations. Thor Ice is offering a full-time position at the company’s facilities in Reykjavík, Iceland. The company’s market is mostly international, and the job therefore may involve travel abroad.
Mechanical Design Engineer
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Product development, technical drawings and design of machines, equipment and complete systems for production and installations
- Technical specifications, drawings, data analysis and layout mapping for customer sales offers
- Needs assessments and testing
- Follow up and adjustments
Qualifications:
- Education and/or experience in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Practical training experience is an advantage
- Experience working with 3D design software, such as Inventor or SolidWorks, is required
- Creativity and problem-solving skills, motivation, initiative, and professional work ethics
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an international work environment
- English proficiency is preferable
- Flexibility for travelling abroad
